My buddy Glenn is actively travelling in India right now so I thought I’d post this Wired article about Pharmaceutical’s using India as a clinical test bed. We both work in Bio-IT and although we’re not directly involved in drug discovery, we do develop tools to help track and analyze researcher’s data.

People ask me all the time what I do.
I essentially tell them I’m a technical lead at a Bio IT software company that develops solutions for lab management. If the conversation goes any further, I’ll mention that we’re specifically targeting proteomics facilities and their significant data management and process tracking needs.
I was just doing [...]

So yesterday I went into the local La-Z-Boy furniture gallery to look at buying a nice chair.
My requirements weren’t that great, with the only one being the ability to put the chair close to the wall and have it recline fully.

Yet another “third highest ranking al-Qaida leader” has been killed, this time by a rocket attack from an unmanned drone. There are a lot of jobs that I wouldn’t want, and “third highest ranking al-Qaida leader” is right at the top. But I can tell you for sure that if I ever [...]

Last night I finally broke down and decided to purchase a new aptly titled big ass TV.
I don’t particularily need a new tv, my existing 27″ crt is still kicking just fine, but that’s besides the point.
After some debate I finally decided on a 42″ plasma from Costco. I also threw one [...]

Last week marked the completion of the annual VIATec foodbank challenge.
What’s The Foodbank Challenge?

Join the tech community to show the kind of difference we can make!
Once again we are pitting technology company against technology company in an effort to raise as much food and donations as possible for the Mustard Seed Food Bank in time [...]
